Lift Pitch Tahoe is a one-of-a-kind event where adventure meets entrepreneurship. Our mission: bring together startup founders and investors for a day of networking, pitching, and philanthropy—all on the slopes of Sky Tavern.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Adaptive Ski Program at Sky Tavern, helping people with disabilities experience the joy of skiing. Join us for a day of inspiration, connection, and giving back.

Meet the Team Behind Lift Pitch Tahoe
Our founders are passionate about skiing, startups, and making a difference. With backgrounds in venture capital, entrepreneurship, and community building, they created Lift Pitch to bring people together in the most exhilarating way possible.
Kevin Petersen is a Silicon Valley native who has spent most of his life in the Reno/Tahoe area. He has a passion for adaptive sports and has joined the Sky Tavern team this season as a volunteer adaptive ski instructor. Kevin mentors founders through the Saastermind community he runs for tech innovators and investors.
Thomas Powell is a Lake Tahoe native who serves on the Sky Tavern board. In addition to mentoring entrepreneurs through his Founders Office program, Thomas routinely hits his goal of skiing 120 days per year.
